Our unique dual candle holder is carefully carved from raw opaline stone. The essence of the product is the material itself, expressed through minimalist design that dates back to 1800.
Story behind the Product:
Our raw stone range was carved in Zimbabwe by artisan Panashe Wadawareva who began sculpting stone at the tender age of 13. Panashe was trained by assisting well-renowned sculptor Maganizo Vissencio and soon became a skilled sumpter in his own right. His work has been featured in galleries across Holland and Germany.
Our collaboration with Panache provided him with the opportunity to utilise his sculpting skills on a range of intricate homeware designs. Panashe hopes to pass on his skills to younger teenagers within his community. For Panashe sculpting is therapeutic and brings excitement to his day-to-day life.
Note: Our candle holders are completely handmade from raw stone, therefore, will have some natural imperfections.
