Our dipped vases are handmade from naturally sourced porcelain, finished in a soft white colouration with a textured surface. The uniquely textured surface makes these vases true statement pieces with their distinctive blend of porcelain and African red soil.
Available in a medium and small size, combining the two makes a lovely display.
Story behind the Product:
Our Ceramic range is hand-made in Marondera Zimbabwe in collaboration with local artisan Nyari Savannah. Nyari built her business as a third-generation potter with over 25 years of experience. Her grandfather made traditional Shona clay pots handing down indigenous pottery techniques. Nyari incorporates these techniques into each of her designs by creating products with modern adaptations. All the pottery is made from locally dug clay with natural glazes and materials sourced from local farming areas.
Our partnership with Nyari Savannah allowed us to explore more sustainable routes to creating simplistic ceramic homeware products. Each product is made with a combination of modern and traditional techniques ensuring the highest quality and craftsmanship.
Note: These vases are handmade, so each one is unique. Internally glazed we cannot guarantee water tightness so highly recommend using them for faux or dried flowers. Alternatively, you can place a glass jar inside for real flowers
